Close to half of the population inhabits the mountain slopes of Virunga Volcanoes shared on the Rwandan side. These beautiful Primates have been habituated with a record of up to 10 families or groups of gorillas to put forward an unforgettable experience. Your safari will include a Kigali city tour among others and the most important part is the gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda.
You’ll be heading to Volcanoes National Park, which is located north of the country, so you will have an early pick-up from your hotel or Kigali airport. The drive will be full of sightseeing, as Rwanda is known as “the land of rolling hills.” Upon arrival, you’ll check into your safari lodge and have lunch. Relax while enjoying the breathtaking mountain scenery and endless views of the thriving, gently sloping hills. Dinner and overnight.
Have your breakfast at 6:30 am, and thereafter transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi for your briefing in preparation for the gorilla trekking activity. You should have carried packed lunch from the lodge. When you find these incredible mountain gorillas, you’ll be allowed a maximum of an hour to view them before heading back to the starting point to meet your driver and embark on the return journey to Kigali. Drop off at your hotel or residence.
